Do you want to stick n poke at home? You can, but you need to know a few things before you start. Like I have said over and over again cleanliness and sterile tools are very important.

Tools you need:

– Clean paper towels

– Brand new needle

– Professional Tattoo Ink

– A clean, new ink cap

– Bactine or Green Soap

– Antibacterial soap and water

– Gloves

Clean your space:

– Vacuum carpets

– Sterilize tile floor

– Lay down a clean paper towel as a surface for your tools.

– Lay out a clean towel to sit on as you tattoo, preferably black if the ink spills.

– Keep the air clean with a vinegar spray (optional)

This is an example of an at-home stick n poke set up

Once Your Space Is Clean and Your Tools Are Set Up

  • Have a stack of paper towels and a jar/bowl of soap + water beside you.
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands from ink and bodily fluids.
  • Clean your skin with Green Soap or Bactine.
  • Unwrap your needle and make sure it has not been tampered with.
  • Add a few drops of tattoo ink in a clean cap.
  • Dip your needle in the ink and begin poking** your design.
  • Wipe the ink away with a dry paper towel, then soap and water.
  • Once the design is finished wipe it all down with soap and water, then Bactine or Green Soap.
  • Follow proper aftercare procedures to make sure your tattoo heals healthfully.

**while you poke make sure to set the needle down on the sterile paper towel.

You are now ready to stick n poke at home. Happy poking!
